  1. Candidates must abide by the EPIC Code of Conduct as outlined in Article 7 of the EPIC Constitution.

  2. Candidates are prohibited from coercing, blackmailing or bribing other EPIC members for the purposes of gaining votes.  

  3. Candidates may only run for one position.

  4. Candidates may use their personal social media accounts for election campaigning. This includes but is not limited to personal Tumblr, Twitter, Youtube, and Facebook accounts.

  5. Candidates may not create new social media accounts for the use of campaigning. This includes but is not limited to election exclusive Facebook events, Facebook fan pages, Facebook groups and websites.

  6. Candidates may not campaign on the Edmonton Potterwatch Facebook page or the Edmonton Potterwatch group.

  7. Candidates may only campaign during the campaigning period: August 9th to August 23rd.

  8. Joke candidate nominations will be withdrawn.

Failure to meet any of the stated rules will result in the following:

  • Upon the first infringement, the candidate will receive a warning email. If applicable, they may be asked to remove campaigning content that violates the election rules. The candidate will then have forty-eight hours to comply.

  • Should there be a second infringement or should the candidate fail to comply to the warning, their nomination will be withdrawn and they will be disqualified from the election.

  • In the extreme case of a serious infringement, as determined by the elections committee, a candidate may have their nomination withdrawn and be disqualified from the election without a warning.
