The Member at Large acts as an impartial mediator between EPIC members and the Executive, keeping the Executive accountable on behalf of members. Strong communication skills are crucial, as members are encouraged to speak with the MAL in the event of a conflict with the Executive. They help develop campaigns and occasionally head projects that are directly related to creating better interpersonal relationships within the chapter. They provide assistance to other positions as needed, and allow the Executive to carry out votes in odd numbers to minimize the possibility of an impasse/draw. The MAL also acts as a signing member for EPIC'S bank account.
